Horizon Specialist – Inside IR35 – London (Hybrid)

We’re looking for an experienced Horizon Specialist to support the design, deployment, optimisation, and security hardening of a large-scale VMware Horizon environment within a secure enterprise setting.

Role Details:

Contract length: 6 months (rolling)
Daily rate: £550-£600 per day
IR35 status: Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid – London
Start date: ASAP
Clearance: SC Cleared required (DV eligible)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture across Horizon Pods and Cloud Pod Architecture
• Design and deploy UAG, App Volumes, DEM, HA/DR, and multi-site solutions
• Produce HLDs and LLDs
• Optimise Horizon performance (Blast/PCoIP) and support upgrades
• Implement security hardening across Horizon, UAG, MFA, RBAC, and certificates
• Automate Horizon tasks using PowerShell and PowerCLI
• Produce runbooks and support BAU knowledge transfer

Skills & Experience:

• Strong VMware Horizon enterprise experience
• Expertise in Pods, UAG, App Volumes, DEM, and golden image lifecycle
• PowerShell automation skills
• Experience in high-security environments

Nice to Have:

• Horizon REST APIs, vGPU/GRID, RDSH apps, Workspace ONE Access
• VMware EUC certifications
