Independent Assessor - Bristol

Job title: Independent Assessor
Location: Bristol (hybrid) with occasional travel to a customer site.
Salary: £75,000 – £95,000

iO are supporting a leading organisation delivering one of the UK’s most significant, high-profile infrastructure programmes.

Now looking to add an Independent Assessor to be a key player in an ongoing project, playing an important role in ensuring the highest possible standards in radiation protection & waste management are met.

Key skills and experience:

• Degree in physics / nuclear / environmental science
• 10+ years nuclear industry experience
• Strong knowledge of UK nuclear regulations
• Proven experience in radiation protection, radiography and/or radioactive waste management
• Experience leading independent assessments and audits
• Stakeholder engagement & management
• Ideally certified in HRA & RPA

This role is ideal for an engineer with extensive expertise in nuclear safety and radioactive waste management, specifically regarding regulatory compliance who is looking for their next step up in the industry.
