Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Up to £80K, Corsham (Hybrid) – SC Cleared

We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support a secure defence platform programme. You’ll design and deliver zero-touch, production-grade automation solutions across enterprise infrastructure using Python3, Ansible and Bash, working within an Agile technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and validate infrastructure automation components
• Reverse engineer manual or legacy build processes into parameterised, repeatable automation
• Develop complex Python3 automation for production environments
• Automate server, network and storage deployments across multi-vendor platforms
• Integrate with external REST/SOAP APIs
• Produce high-quality code using Git/BitBucket and participate in peer reviews
• Support system testing and resolve technical issues with Service Management

Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Python3 automation in production environments
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet or Chef)
• Strong Bash scripting skills
• Experience deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure environments
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Active SC OR DV Clearance (essential)
