Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant | Bochum, Germany

€50,000-65,000 per annum

We are partnering with a deep-tech scale-up in Bochum who are building out their Finance team as the business enters a new phase of growth.

This is a broad, hands-on accounting role covering payables, receivables and bookkeeping, and it is a good fit for someone who wants variety and room to grow.

The role

• Process and review supplier invoices, with correct account, cost-centre and project allocation
• Prepare and run payment runs, and reconcile supplier accounts
• Manage accounts receivable
• Handle income and payroll-related accounting
• Process employee expenses and corporate card transactions
• Support monthly closing, including accruals and reconciliations
• Help improve and automate invoice and payment processes

About you

• Commercial training, or a degree in business administration, accounting or similar
• Professional experience in accounts payable or financial accounting
• Good understanding of German accounting and VAT principles
• DATEV and good Excel skills
• Accurate, reliable and able to work independently
• Very good German and good English. Experience in a manufacturing or purchasing-heavy environment is an advantage
