This opportunity is with a Microsoft partner that has already defined a clear and structured pathway to Principal level. It’s a role designed for someone who wants to step into leadership while continuing to stay close to the technology.

This role would suit a strong Senior or existing Lead BI Engineer looking to take the next step in both technical leadership and client-facing responsibility, with a defined path toward Principal.

The Role

As a Lead BI Engineer, you will take ownership of technical delivery across BI projects, with a strong focus on data modelling, BI architecture, and analytics engineering within the Azure ecosystem.

Alongside hands-on development, you’ll work closely with clients-leading workshops, guiding decision-making, and ensuring solutions are both technically robust and commercially effective.

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in Power BI, DAX, and SQL
• Proven capability in data modelling and BI architecture
• Hands-on experience across Azure (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Lakehouse)
• Ability to design scalable, high-performance analytics solutions
• Confidence working in client-facing environments, including running workshops and managing stakeholders
• A natural inclination toward mentoring and leading engineers
