The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a high-growth AI startup looking for a Lead Product Engineer to take ownership of a new customer-facing product from launch through to scale.
This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, offering the chance to shape strategy, build features end-to-end, and influence the future direction of both the product and team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning the product end-to-end across frontend, APIs and data models.
- Building intuitive AI-powered user experiences.
- Driving roadmap decisions through user feedback, analytics and experimentation.
- Improving onboarding, engagement and conversion through data-driven product development.
- Setting standards for product quality, UX and engineering best practice.
- Working closely with founders and cross-functional teams to bring new ideas to market.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience building and launching products used by real customers.
- Strong TypeScript and React skills.
- Backend experience with Python and/or Node.js.
- Experience with APIs, PostgreSQL and modern SaaS products.
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs or AI-powered products.
- Product-minded engineer with strong UX instincts and commercial awareness.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with significant ownership.
Desirable
- Startup, founding engineer or early-stage experience.
- Product analytics and experimentation tooling (e.g. PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
- Experience building creator, media or AI-driven products.
- Portfolio showcasing product, UX or interface design work.
