Lead Service Designer - Central Gov

I’m currently supporting a Government digital team that is looking for an experienced Service Designer to join a major Discovery programme focused on redesigning services for Digital, Data and Technology professionals across Government.

Key details:

• £675-£725/day
• Initial 6-month contract
• Likely extension
• BPSS Clearance
• London, Manchester or Bristol
• Hybrid working (minimum 1 day per week onsite)

We’re looking for experience in:

• Service Design within Government or GDS environments
• Minimum 7+ Years working into Central Gov
• Discovery delivery
• GDS Service Standard and Service Manual
• User journey mapping and service blueprinting
• Service redesign and improvement
• Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
• Agile delivery environments
• Translating user research into service outcomes

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong Central Government experience
• A proven track record delivering complex digital services
• Experience shaping and mapping end-to-end user journeys
• Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
• A collaborative and evidence-led approach to Service Design
