12-month contract freelance

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Engineer to support the relaunch of an engine manufacturing plant in Kiel. This is a hands-on project role focused on designing and implementing efficient material flow, storage, and line-side logistics for a complex manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring that components of all sizes are correctly planned, stored, delivered, and available at point of use to support smooth production ramp-up.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing end-to-end material flow from warehouse to production line
• Defining kitting, storage, and line-side solutions for small, medium, and large components
• Establishing standard work and logistics processes
• Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering to align logistics with build sequence
• Supporting equipment sizing, packaging solutions, and inventory risk processes

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong experience with PFEP and material planning in manufacturing
• Proven background in line-side logistics, kitting, and material flow design
• Hands-on experience in production or engine/manufacturing environments
• Ability to work independently in a project-driven, fast-paced setting
