Manufacturing AIT Industrialisation Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the industrialisation of spacecraft and subsystem manufacturing, transitioning designs from prototype to serial production
• Define and optimise AIT processes, including mechanical, electrical, and functional integration workflows
• Develop manufacturing and assembly procedures, work instructions, and production documentation
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are embedded early
• Support and oversee AIT campaigns, including integration, functional testing, and environmental qualification (TVAC, vibration, etc.)
• Identify and resolve production and integration bottlenecks, improving throughput, yield, and repeatability
• Work closely with supply chain and procurement to ensure component readiness and manufacturability
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across production and AIT operations
• Ensure compliance with ECSS standards and European space quality requirements

⚙️ What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 4-8+ years experience in:
  • manufacturing engineering
  • AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test)
  • or NPI/industrialisation roles within aerospace or space
