Network Engineer (Data Centre / NOC)
Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £65k per annum

You’ll provide advanced monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation support across a data centre environment, bridging the gap between NOC operations and engineering. The focus is on maintaining uptime, resolving incidents efficiently, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 / Layer 3 network issues
• Implement network changes (DNS, IP management, firewall rules)
• Support and maintain enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto / Fortigate)
• Manage incidents independently and escalate where required
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with internal teams to support a 24/7 environment

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong knowledge of routing & switching (CCNP-level or equivalent)
• Experience in a network monitoring / NOC or data centre environment
• Hands-on troubleshooting across network infrastructure and services
• Experience with firewalls and network security principles
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (Infoblox desirable)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
