Role Overview
Due to expanding project commitments, our Client is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer specialising in analogue and power electronics. This strategic role is vital to supporting the development of hardware for critical satellite systems and space instruments. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering space initiatives, working within a dynamic team that values innovation, precision, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop digital and analogue electronic circuits for space-grade hardware components, including memory modules, onboard computers, and instrument control units.
- Select suitable electronic components, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and project specifications.
- Gather and document requirements in close collaboration with systems engineers.
- Create detailed block diagrams and schematics using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Perform circuit simulations and analyses employing software such as PSpice, LTspice, or equivalent.
- Support prototyping, circuit bring-up, and performance verification activities.
- Develop and document electrical test procedures, including testing plans and environmental testing protocols.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support technical investigations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- A University degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in circuit design, with a strong focus on analogue and power electronics.
- Proven experience with PCB design and layout (experience in aerospace or high-reliability sectors is preferred).
- Practical knowledge of circuit simulation and analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with passion, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and environmental testing procedures is desirable.
