Senior Electronics Engineer (Power Electronics & High‑Voltage)

iO Associates are partnered with a growing deep‑tech company in the space sector, developing advanced propulsion hardware for small satellites. As they scale from R&D into production, they are strengthening their electronics capability and are now seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in power electronics and high‑voltage systems to support this next phase. This is a hands‑on, hardware‑focused role based near Paris.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced electronics hardware with a strong focus on power electronics (e.g. DC/DC converters, flyback topologies, power conversion systems)
  • Lead technical work on high‑voltage and high‑reliability electronic systems
  • Ensure robust design against EMC, lightning and electrical transient effects, particularly for harsh environments
  • Support system integration, testing and validation activities
  • Drive key technical decisions balancing performance, reliability, safety and manufacturability
  • Contribute to the transition from R&D to production, including DFM and industrialisation
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Your Profile

  • Experienced Electronics Engineer with 10-20+ years of experience, ideally in demanding or high‑reliability sectors
  • Strong expertise in power electronics design, including converters (DC/DC, flyback, etc.)
  • Proven experience working with high‑voltage systems or electrically harsh environments
  • Deep understanding of electronics protection, including EMC and protection against lightning/transient effects (e.g. Class III/IV environments)
  • Predominantly hardware‑focused, hands‑on engineering approach
  • Background in sectors such as space, aerospace, automotive, power electronics, or scientific instrumentation
  • Comfortable operating in an R&D environment transitioning to industrial scale‑up
  • French language skills are desirable

Why Apply?

  • Work on cutting‑edge space propulsion hardware with real flight applications
  • Join a highly expert team where your contribution has direct impact
  • Play a key role in scaling a company from research to industrial production
  • Develop deep expertise in a highly specialised and technically complex field

If this opportunity is of interest, please apply with your up‑to‑date CV. I will be in touch directly to discuss the role in more detail and answer any initial questions.
