Process Engineer

Role Overview

Due to ongoing growth and a strategic initiative to enhance operational efficiency, our Client is seeking a skilled Process Engineer. This vital position plays a key role in shaping the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes, making a tangible impact on the company’s success and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee production workflows, utilising key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting process audits to ensure optimal operation.
• Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, focusing on throughput, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
• Identify critical processes and design targeted strategies for enhancement, leveraging techniques such as value stream mapping.
• Support the refinement of existing assembly, manufacturing, or production operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Innovate new strategies aimed at boosting process efficiency whilst ensuring ergonomic and workplace considerations are integrated.
• Foster cross-departmental collaboration both internally and with external partners to achieve process excellence.

Essential Skills & Experience

• A completed engineering degree, technical qualification, or equivalent professional training with relevant practical experience.
• Proven experience in process optimisation within manufacturing settings, including familiarity with modern techniques such as Lean Management, Six Sigma, or TQM.
• Competence with quality assurance systems and a solid understanding of quality management methodologies.
• Additional qualifications such as REFA and/or MTM training would be highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex interrelationships and derive actionable insights.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Prior experience supporting or leading ergonomic and workplace design improvements.
• Knowledge of emerging manufacturing technologies and innovative process solutions.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams within an industrial environment.
