Role Overview
Due to ongoing growth and a strategic initiative to enhance operational efficiency, our Client is seeking a skilled Process Engineer. This vital position plays a key role in shaping the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes, making a tangible impact on the company’s success and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee production workflows, utilising key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting process audits to ensure optimal operation.
- Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, focusing on throughput, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Identify critical processes and design targeted strategies for enhancement, leveraging techniques such as value stream mapping.
- Support the refinement of existing assembly, manufacturing, or production operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Innovate new strategies aimed at boosting process efficiency whilst ensuring ergonomic and workplace considerations are integrated.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration both internally and with external partners to achieve process excellence.
Essential Skills & Experience
- A completed engineering degree, technical qualification, or equivalent professional training with relevant practical experience.
- Proven experience in process optimisation within manufacturing settings, including familiarity with modern techniques such as Lean Management, Six Sigma, or TQM.
- Competence with quality assurance systems and a solid understanding of quality management methodologies.
- Additional qualifications such as REFA and/or MTM training would be highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex interrelationships and derive actionable insights.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Prior experience supporting or leading ergonomic and workplace design improvements.
- Knowledge of emerging manufacturing technologies and innovative process solutions.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams within an industrial environment.
