This is a hands-on role supporting the delivery of high-reliability hardware into a highly regulated environment, working closely with engineering, manufacturing/test, suppliers and customers.

The role
You’ll help ensure product assurance and quality compliance across the full lifecycle, from requirements flow-down and documentation, through build/test surveillance, to final data pack delivery. You’ll be part of integrated project teams and will have visibility across multiple programmes as demand increases.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and attend programme lifecycle reviews (e.g., MRR/TRR/DRB and other customer/supplier milestone reviews)
  • Maintain and develop product assurance documentation aligned to contract and relevant standards (including ECSS where applicable)
  • Flow down assurance requirements to suppliers and review evidence of compliance (supplier documentation/data packs)
  • Monitor hardware during manufacturing and test to ensure adherence to technical and quality requirements
  • Support End Item Data Packs (EIDP), review item discrepancies (RIDs) and closure actions
  • Support non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
  • Participate in internal and supplier audits (AS9100/ISO9001) and continuous improvement activity
  • Verify compliance to key/mandatory inspection points (KIPs/MIPs)

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • HND/Degree in Engineering/Physical Sciences (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience in Quality or Product Assurance within aerospace/space/defence or another regulated engineering environment
  • Good working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001
  • Confident interpreting engineering drawings/specifications and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and stakeholder communication skills

Desirable:

  • ECSS exposure (and awareness of EEE parts/materials/process considerations)
  • Experience compiling/reviewing EIDPs, qualification/verification activity
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools (8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, etc.)
  • Electronics/electromechanical experience
  • Quality/auditing qualification (e.g., ISO9001 Lead Auditor)

Working pattern / environment
Primarily site-based in Buckinghamshire. Some flexibility may be needed for peak project periods, with occasional travel to suppliers/customers.

Benefits (high level)
Competitive salary, 5% matched pension, private health & dental, EV scheme (post-probation), life assurance, enhanced sick pay, EAP, free parking, cycle-to-work, discount platform, and on-site refreshments.
