Production Planner – Shipbuilding & Refit
iO Associates is currently partnered with a leading shipbuilding organisation that is seeking a Production Planner (m/f/d) to support and coordinate production planning activities for shipbuilding and refit projects.
As part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, you’ll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimising production schedules while coordinating closely with engineering, production, and supply chain stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
Requirements:
- Degree in Shipbuilding Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Relevant experience in shipbuilding, particularly within production planning or work preparation.
- Experience using planning tools such as MS Project, CAD systems, and ERP environments.
- Good English language skills
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project and order schedules for ship production and refit activities.
- Develop detailed manufacturing schedules for internal production, subcontracted work, and special solutions.
- Consolidate all production activities into an overall master schedule, considering timelines and capacity utilisation.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimise schedules in coordination with engineering, production, procurement, and controlling teams.
- Ensure planning data is maintained within planning tools and ERP systems.
- Manage and track hour budgets for engineering and production departments.
- Coordinate material availability in collaboration with production planning teams.
- Work closely with suppliers, service providers, and customer representatives to ensure alignment.
- Support construction strategies, production concepts, and scheduling-related topics.
- Document planning activities and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
