Quality Engineer – Power Electronics

Based in the Konstanz region, Germany

iO Associates is partnered with a leading company in the field of power electronics, dedicated to developing innovative solutions for space applications.

The team is passionate about delivering high‑quality, reliable products that meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements. The focus of this role is to support development and manufacturing projects for space electronics, ensuring quality compliance across internal teams and suppliers.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable field, or a technician qualification / equivalent certification
  • 4+ years of professional experience in quality and product assurance, preferably in regulated industries such as space, automotive, or medical technology
  • Solid knowledge of quality assurance tools and methods (e.g. FMEA, 8D methodology, Ishikawa diagrams, flowcharts)
  • Ability to work independently in complex environments, with strong assertiveness and a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) and a good command of German
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing and/or the space industry is an advantage but not mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting development and manufacturing projects for space electronics to ensure customer and regulatory requirements are fully implemented
  • Ensuring quality requirements are applied internally and throughout the supplier base
  • Managing required quality documentation and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing quality concepts and measures to ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Planning and executing material and process qualifications
  • Ensuring deviations are properly documented and that approvals and customer decisions are effectively implemented within the organisation
  • Planning and conducting supplier audits
  • Performing acceptance inspections both internally and at supplier locations
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of internal processes as part of the Quality Management team
  • Applying recognised quality assurance methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis techniques
