We’re supporting a major engineering programme within the maritime defence sector and are looking for an experienced DFMEA / Reliability Engineer with strong Reliasoft Xfmea / RCM++ capability.

Key requirements

  • Strong, practical experience delivering DFMEA end-to-end
  • Advanced / power-user level with Reliasoft Xfmea / RCM++
  • Comfortable facilitating technical workshops with lead design engineers and engineering SMEs
  • Able to translate complex engineering discussions into structured, auditable failure modes, causes, effects and mitigation actions
  • Strong stakeholder management, reporting and communication skills
  • Desirable background in defence, naval, propulsion, power generation, or other complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Current SC clearance essential
  • UK national only (no dual nationality) due to programme security restrictions

You’ll own and drive the DFMEA process, act as the Reliasoft SME, facilitate workshops, capture evidence, and challenge where appropriate to improve design maturity and quality. You’ll also track progress/KPIs and provide clear status reporting to programme leadership and the customer.
