RF Hardware Engineer

iO Associates are currently partnered with a well-established organisation in the space sector, known for delivering high-reliability systems for satellite and deep space missions.

They are seeking an RF Hardware Engineer to join a growing team in Luxembourg, working on advanced communications systems and RF payloads for next-generation space platforms. This is a hands-on role with technical ownership and involvement across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and test microwave/RF hardware for space applications (K-/Ka-Band)
• Take ownership of RF boards and modules from concept through to delivery
• Develop and maintain technical documentation
• Support project planning and timelines
• Contribute to new project proposals and system concepts

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in RF/microwave hardware design
• Experience with RF lab equipment (e.g. spectrum analysers, VNA)
• Knowledge of hardware considerations such as thermal, mechanical, and radiation effects
• Experience with high-power or solid-state amplifier design
• Strong communication skills in English
• Experience in the space or aerospace sector
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. ECSS)
• Experience with Altium Designer
• Python knowledge
