Role Summary:

Due to ongoing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing their automation capabilities, Our Client is seeking a skilled Robotics and Automation Engineer. This role is crucial for driving the development of state-of-the-art, robot-assisted automation solutions that significantly impact operational efficiency. Candidates will have the chance to work on exciting projects that push the boundaries of technology, making a tangible difference in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual design and development of modern, robot-assisted automation solutions.

  • Design of customised grippers and devices for automated process chains.

  • Creation of precise 3D models and technical visualisations using Siemens NX.

  • Evaluation of concepts based on technical feasibility.

  • Participation in process analyses and optimisations using Lean methods.

  • Development of technical requirements, specifications, and documentation.

  • Technical coordination with suppliers and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including development, production, and purchasing.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in automation technology, robotics, or special machine construction

  • Strong knowledge in the design of gripping systems, tools, and mechanical assemblies

  • Proficient in Siemens NX and skilled in 3D modelling and visualisation tools

  • Experience in process analysis and structured optimisation methods

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities

  • Team-oriented, communicative work style paired with a structured and independent approach

  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systems

  • Familiarity with common industrial robots (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa)

  • Understanding of motion control, sensors, and actuators

  • Awareness of industrial safety standards and risk assessment

  • Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documentation

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Additional experience in related fields or technologies would strengthen an application

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and project management methodologies is advantageous
