Role Summary
In response to strategic growth initiatives, Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager specialised in defence. This pivotal role is designed to strengthen client relationships, drive revenue growth, and develop new business opportunities within the defence sector. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals within the defence industry sector.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and defence organisations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and revenue streams.
  • Lead sales negotiations, proposals, and contract discussions with a strategic and client-focused approach.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, engineering, and project teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, competition, and regulatory changes affecting defence sector sales.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
  • Represent our Client at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network within the defence community.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in sales within the defence or related security sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing large accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of defence procurement processes, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to strategise, plan, and deliver results under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in business, sales, or a defence-related field are highly desirable.
  • A professional approach combined with a passion for delivering solutions that support national security.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Existing network within defence or government sectors.
  • Experience with project management or technical background related to defence systems.
  • Multilingual abilities or international sales experience.
  • Familiarity with modern CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
