SAP Finance Architect

About the Role

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, boutique advisory firm that operates at the intersection of finance transformation and enterprise technology. They are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Architect to lead large-scale transformation programmes across Europe.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders including CFOs and transformation leaders, shaping finance strategy and delivering complex S/4HANA solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Solution Architecture & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end design of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions (RTR, Controlling, Group Reporting, Treasury, etc.)
• Define scalable finance architectures integrated with wider enterprise systems (procurement, analytics, tax, etc.)
• Drive solution quality across design, testing, and go-live phases

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior finance stakeholders
• Lead workshops, design authorities, and executive discussions
• Shape finance transformation roadmaps and operating models

Leadership & Growth

• Mentor consultants and support capability development
• Contribute to proposals, go-to-market initiatives, and thought leadership

What They’re Looking For

• 12+ years’ experience in SAP Finance / transformation programmes
• Strong S/4HANA architecture experience (greenfield, brownfield, or hybrid)
• Deep functional expertise across finance processes (RTR, FP&A, Treasury, Tax)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills at leadership level
• Experience working in consulting or advisory environments

Nice to Have

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certifications
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
• Exposure to tools like Central Finance, Group Reporting, or finance automation
