Satellite Architect
iO Associates are currently partnered with a leading organisation within the space and satellite sector, supporting the search for a Satellite Architect to join their growing engineering function based in Toulouse. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge space programmes across Earth observation and telecommunications, contributing to complex and high-impact missions.

Work Environment: Hybrid
Salary: €80,000 – €85,000 per annum + additional benefits
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as Technical Lead / Satellite Manager across assigned programmes
- Designing and developing end-to-end satellite system architectures aligned to technical and programme requirements
- Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, integrated solutions
- Coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders including partners, suppliers and clients
- Leading the technical integration and ensuring alignment across all contributing functions
- Acting as the primary interface with customers and partners, translating requirements into deliverable solutions
- Managing trade-offs between performance, cost and schedule constraints
- Supporting project management activities including planning, cost tracking and delivery milestones
What You Bring
- 10+ years experience in satellite systems or subsystem development
- Strong background across at least two subsystem domains (e.g. avionics, AOCS/GNC, or similar)
- Proven experience in system-level architecture and technical leadership
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external partners
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
