As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the development of complete satellite solutions, from early design activities through to integration and validation. You will play a key role in ensuring system requirements are defined, managed and successfully delivered while supporting the development of future satellite capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop end-to-end satellite solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture activities and requirements management
  • Support risk management, integration, verification and testing activities
  • Assist with the development of satellite platforms, payloads and ground systems
  • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to integrate subsystems into a coherent and compliant solution
  • Contribute to the development of future satellite missions and concepts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cybernetics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Science or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable Systems Engineering experience including requirements management and systems architecture
  • Experience working within complex engineering environments and across multiple technical disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A structured and methodical approach to problem solving and technical delivery

Experience in any of the following areas would be particularly advantageous:

  • Ground Systems Engineering
  • Communication Systems Engineering
  • Satellite Systems Engineering
  • Space, aerospace or defence programmes
  • Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V)
  • Mission-critical or highly regulated engineering environments

What’s On Offer

  • The opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced satellite programmes
  • A collaborative and highly skilled engineering environment
  • Exposure to the international space industry
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Flexible working arrangements where possible
  • A stable and well-established organisation with a strong engineering heritage

Location

This position can be based from multiple locations in Norway.

The successful candidate will be expected to spend time on site on a weekly basis as part of a collaborative engineering team. As a result, applicants should already be based in Norway or be willing and able to relocate to Norway on a permanent basis.

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, security clearance is a key requirement for this position. Candidates who already hold active security clearance from a NATO member nation are strongly preferred. Applicants without active clearance may still be considered where they are eligible to obtain the required level of vetting.

Any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of relevant background checks and security screening.

Application Process

Please note that Norway is currently in its annual Fellesferie period and some stakeholders involved in the hiring process may be on leave. As a result, application reviews and interview scheduling may take slightly longer than usual.

If you are interested in this opportunity, meet the eligibility requirements and are able to work on site in Norway, please apply with your most up-to-date CV.
