Role: Senior Delivery Manager
Length: Initial 6-month contract
Day Rate: £650 to £750 p/d Inside IR35
Location: London (Hybrid)
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance

We’re supporting a major UK Government department looking for a Senior/Lead Delivery Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

In this role, you will sit at the heart of their digital transformation, driving the delivery of strategies that power technology across the UK public sector. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining high-level partnerships with major global technology firms and emerging suppliers to ensure the public sector accesses world-leading digital tools at an efficient cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy Delivery: Lead and oversee the implementation of supplier engagement strategies, removing blockers and navigating complex governance.
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior officials and digital leaders across government to support high-priority investment projects.
• Agile Leadership: Manage complex dependencies and lead project development using Jira and Agile methodologies.
• Relationship Management: Partner with commercial agencies to deliver events and initiatives that align with the “Blueprint for Modern Digital Government”.
• Risk & Governance: Implement effective risk management and reporting structures for departmental boards and wider strategic priorities.

• Experienced Leader: You have a proven track record of managing high-complexity projects and feeding into wider digital portfolios.
• Supplier Expert: You possess deep experience in managing external supplier relationships and building strong partnerships to support delivery.
• Agile Practitioner: You have an in-depth knowledge of Agile delivery and proficiency in Jira.
• Adaptable: You thrive in fast-paced environments and can navigate ambiguity as teams and strategies evolve.
• Collaborator: You are a dedicated team player with a positive outlook and excellent communication skills.
