SC Cleared AWS DevOps / Platform Engineer

Rate: £500–£550 per day
IR35: Outside IR35
Location: Remote + occasional travel to Hampshire
Clearance: Active SC minimum
Contract: 6 months

I’m currently supporting a client who is looking for an experienced SC Cleared AWS DevOps / Platform Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.

The role is predominantly remote, with the expectation to attend the client’s site in Hampshire approximately once per month.

Experience Required:

• AWS: Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure within AWS environments.
• Kubernetes & Docker: Experience working with containerised environments, including Kubernetes orchestration and Docker, with Rancher experience highly relevant.
• CI/CD: Strong experience building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, with ArgoCD used for continuous delivery and application deployment.
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management, alongside Packer for creating and managing machine images.
• Helm & JFrog: Experience managing Kubernetes applications using Helm, as well as working with JFrog within software development and deployment environments.
• Python: Comfortable using Python for scripting, automation and supporting platform engineering activities.
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience working with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry to monitor, troubleshoot and improve the reliability of cloud and platform environments.
• Development Practices: Familiarity with modern software development practices, including Conventional Commits, version control and automated software delivery.
