Senior Azure Data Engineer

We’re supporting a major enterprise data transformation and need a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer to deliver scalable, cloud‑native data solutions across ingestion, modelling, orchestration, and automation.

What You’ll Do

• Build and optimise Azure data pipelines using Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Python

• Develop robust ETL/ELT processes across Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL

• Deploy Logic Apps and Function Apps for automation and integration

• Implement DataOps and CI/CD practices for faster, high‑quality delivery

• Ensure strong data quality, governance, and security

• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams

• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers

Key Skills

• Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake

• Python & SQL

• Logic Apps / Function Apps

• Data modelling & architecture best practice

• CI/CD for data workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

• Strong grounding in data security and governance

Nice to Have

• Azure Fabric or ML/AI exposure

• Experience supporting ERP/S4HANA‑related data programmes
