We’re supporting a growing consultancy delivering high-impact transformation programmes across Central Government and Defence. As demand continues to increase, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager to support the delivery of complex digital, data and business transformation initiatives.

Active SC Clearance Required

Hybrid working: 1-2 Days onsite Central London

Day rate: £525-£550

Start date: Early October

The Opportunity

As a Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering digital and business change initiatives across Defence and Government clients.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, users and delivery teams, you’ll be responsible for understanding business needs, defining requirements, shaping product direction and ensuring solutions deliver measurable operational outcomes.

You’ll operate across the full lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions and requirements gathering activities
• Translate complex business challenges into clear user stories, process maps and functional requirements
• Support product strategy, roadmap development and prioritisation activities
• Work closely with delivery, technical and architecture teams to define solution requirements
• Facilitate business process analysis and identify opportunities for service improvement and transformation
• Manage and influence senior stakeholder groups across Defence and Government environments
• Support backlog management, product planning and Agile delivery activities
• Ensure solutions align to operational needs, strategic objectives and programme outcomes

Experience Needed

• Recent Government, Defence or National Security experience
• Strong Business Analysis experience within large-scale transformation programmes
• Experience working as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and requirements elicitation
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Familiarity with GDS principles and user-centred approaches
• Active SC Clearance (or higher)
