We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join a growing organisation as the deputy to the Group Head of Cyber Resilience & Security. You’ll play a key role in leading security investigations, managing vulnerabilities, assessing cyber risk, improving security controls and supporting compliance initiatives across the business. This position offers the chance to act as a trusted escalation point and operational lead while helping shape the future security posture of the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as deputy to the Group Head of Cyber Resilience & Security and providing leadership across day-to-day security operations.
  • Leading and coordinating cyber security incident response activities, including investigation, containment and remediation.
  • Conducting cyber security risk assessments across systems, projects and third-party suppliers.
  • Managing vulnerability remediation activities and working with technical teams to reduce risk.
  • Supporting security awareness and training initiatives across the organisation.
  • Driving continuous improvements to security controls, processes and detection capabilities.
  • Supporting compliance with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and internal security policies.
  • Representing the cyber security function in stakeholder meetings and governance forums.
  • Contributing to identity, privileged access management and cyber resilience initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior analysts and acting as an escalation point when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience within Cyber Security Operations, Security Engineering or Security Analyst roles.
  • Hands-on experience leading and investigating security incidents.
  • Experience working with SIEM, EDR, email security and identity security platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft security technologies including Entra ID, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Experience querying and analysing security data, with KQL knowledge desirable.
  • Broad understanding of identity and access management, Active Directory, networking, DNS, endpoints, servers and cloud technologies.
  • Practical vulnerability management experience, including CVSS scoring and remediation tracking.
  • Experience conducting cyber security risk assessments and translating technical risks into business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and security governance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.

Desirable

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CySA+, SSCP, BTL1/BTL2 or SC-200.
  • Experience acting as a senior escalation point or team lead within a cyber security function.
  • Knowledge of privileged access management and cyber resilience frameworks.
  • Experience supporting third-party security reviews and supplier assurance activities.
  • Strong understanding of security risk management and governance processes.

If you’re an experienced Cyber Security professional looking for a senior hands-on role where you can influence strategy, lead incident response activities and shape cyber resilience across a growing organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
