Role Summary

Due to ongoing strategic initiatives, our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Consultant to join their team. This role is critical to advancing their data architecture and governance practices, directly contributing to the organisation’s digital transformation goals. It presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to shape data strategies and influence high-level projects within a forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of data models, with a focus on Data Vault methodology
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
  • Implement and optimise Snowflake-based data warehouse architectures
  • Provide expertise in data modelling best practices, ensuring data quality and integrity
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss strategy, progress, and technical insights
  • Document data processes, standards, and best practices to support continued organisational growth
  • Work independently, managing priorities effectively to meet project deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience implementing Data Vault modelling techniques, demonstrating familiarity through past projects
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake data warehousing technology
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Availability to start quickly, preferably immediately or on short notice
  • Comfortable working within IR35 regulations
  • Experience in a data-driven role within a corporate environment

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Background in Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Trading sectors
  • Familiarity with DBT or similar data transformation tools
  • Experience working on complex data transformation and integration projects
  • Knowledge of cloud-based analytics solutions and data pipeline orchestration
