Role: Senior Data Migration Specialist – Ireland

Location: Applicants must have the permanent right to work in Ireland. Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this role

Travel: Occasional travel for client visits and team meetings

Salary: Euro €70,000 to €80,000 DOE

In this role, you will serve as the strategic and technical authority guiding clients through complex data migrations, ensuring their legacy information is safely, accurately, and efficiently moved to modern group-wide solutions.

You will be the go-to person bridging the gap between our technical delivery teams and client stakeholders. Beyond active project delivery, you will oversee Quality Assurance for data transitions and collaborate closely with our internal product teams to refine our migration tools and software roadmap.

Key Data Migration Responsibilities

• Migration Architecture: Act as the lead technical expert on client engagements, designing and driving the specific data migration architecture required to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Migration Strategy & Workshops: Lead client-facing workshops to advise stakeholders on migration options, archiving strategies, and industry best practices.
• Technical Specifications: Translate complex client data structures into clear requirements for our engineering teams, mapping out intricate migration transformations and data merging specifications.
• Data Integrity & Reconciliation: Maintain data quality standards throughout the migration lifecycle. You will own the volumetric reconciliation process to ensure every piece of data is accounted for and securely transferred.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical risks associated with data loss, formatting mismatches, or system downtime to ensure seamless go-live events.
• Testing & Issue Tracking: Manage and support the comprehensive testing phases of data migration implementations, tracking and resolving technical issues as they arise.
• Pre-Sales Mapping: Partner with Sales and Solutions teams to scope out infrastructure needs for upcoming migration projects and provide technical insights for tender responses.

What We Are Looking For

Data Migration & Industry Experience

• Extensive, hands-on experience leading large-scale data migration, data quality, and data archiving projects.
• Solid professional background within the Healthcare sector.
• Strong familiarity with regional healthcare data structures and systems across the UK and Ireland (including NHS, HSE, and HSC frameworks).
• Solid understanding of clinical systems and terminology, specifically PAS and LIMS frameworks.
• Proven experience in client-facing consulting roles, with the confidence to act as the authoritative technical voice in the room.

Technical Skillset

• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including complex database architecture, administration, and performance tuning tailored for heavy data movement.
• Strong fluency in core data technologies, specifically SQL, XML, and APIs.
• High-level familiarity with non-Microsoft environments (e.g., Oracle, JavaScript, Python) is highly desirable for handling varied legacy source data.
