Role Summary:

Due to ongoing growth and strategic initiatives, our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to lead and contribute to complex electronic system development. This is a strategic role with a key focus on translating innovative concepts into reliable, high-performance electronic products. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electronic systems from concept to production, ensuring technical robustness and compliance.
  • Capture schematic designs, undertake PCB layout tasks, and perform circuit simulations to validate performance.
  • Develop and verify digital and analogue circuitry, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Utilise microcontrollers and embedded systems to integrate hardware with software components.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, validation plans, and production handover materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and customers to refine requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimise designs.
  • Investigate new technologies, components, and design techniques to enhance product capabilities.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and verification of prototypes, managing the transition to manufacturing.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in electronic system design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard tools.
  • Solid experience in designing both digital and analogue electronics.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based systems and embedded development.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an innovative mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with clients and internal teams.
  • Capability to create clear technical documentation and reports.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of high-speed digital design and RF/wireless modules.
  • Experience with power supply design and EMC testing.
  • Familiarity with regulated development processes, such as for medical devices or other safety-critical domains.
  • Experience with FPGAs, CPLDs, or DSPs.
  • Background in certification processes and failure analysis.
