Senior Embedded Systems Engineer – Communication Systems

Location: Immenstaad, Germany

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to drive the design, integration, and validation of cutting‑edge communication system prototypes. If you enjoy building complex PoC systems end-to-end and collaborating closely across R&D teams, this role gives you full ownership from concept to functional demonstration.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and prototype system-level concepts for advanced communication systems
• Configure and integrate SoCs, FPGAs, and peripheral components into complete Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) systems
• Develop, test, and optimise end-to-end PoCs using internal and partner technologies
• Work closely with R&D teams and external partners on system integration and co-design
• Document system architectures, integration workflows, and reusable reference designs

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar
• 5+ years experience in product or system development for communication devices (e.g., satellite systems, 5G/6G, Wi‑Fi modems)
• Strong hands-on skills in C/C++, Python, Linux/RTOS, and HW/SW co-design
• Experience with SoCs, FPGAs, and integration of 3rd-party software, SDKs, and communication protocols (Ethernet, 5G/6G, etc.)
• Problem-solving mindset, collaborative approach, and comfort working in fast-paced R&D environments
• Very good English skills; basic German is an advantage but not required
