Senior Sensor Fusion / FPGA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Sensor Fusion / FPGA Engineer to design the low‑latency data pipelines that power perception and behavior.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement sensor fusion pipelines across multiple sensing modalities
• Develop real‑time architectures on FPGA and embedded platforms
• Optimize low‑latency data acquisition, synchronization, and signal processing
• Collaborate closely with hardware, biology, and AI teams
• Prototype, test, and iterate in a hands‑on lab environment
• Own your work end‑to‑end, from algorithm to running system

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical / Computer Engineering or similar
• 3+ years FPGA experience (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog)
• Strong knowledge of sensor fusion and estimation
  (e.g. Kalman filters, Bayesian methods, signal processing)
• Experience with real‑time embedded systems
• Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative, experimental setting
• Professional English; authorized to work in Germany
• EU citizenship
