A Senior Network Engineer is required to work for a world-leading quantitative research and technology firm operating at the cutting edge of financial markets. They specialise in building high-performance, ultra-low latency systems that process vast amounts of real-time data to power automated trading strategies. With a strong focus on innovation and automation, they operate one of the most advanced and sophisticated network infrastructures in the industry.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting low-latency network infrastructure in colocation environments, working across multi-vendor platforms such as Cisco and Arista. This includes hands-on data centre work, maintaining global WAN and cloud connectivity, troubleshooting multicast and low-latency networks, implementing timing solutions, and managing monitoring tools. You will also support exchange connectivity, drive network automation, and collaborate with teams to enhance performance and reliability.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in routing & switching within complex, multi-vendor environments (Cisco/Arista)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, QoS (Layer 2/3)
• Working experience in Co-Lo / Data Centre environments
• Firewall knowledge (Fortinet preferred)
• Exposure to automation
