Senior Product Manager – Central Gov
SC Clearance preferred, but must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance
6 Month contract with potential extension
Remote with occasional travel to client sites
£600 – £625 per day, Inside IR35
Our client is a leading digital consultancy delivering large-scale transformation programmes across Central Government, helping departments modernise services, improve operational efficiency and deliver better outcomes for citizens and internal users.
They are supporting a number of digital transformation initiatives focused on improving public services, streamlining operations and delivering user-centred products across complex government environments.
As part of continued programme growth, they require a Product Manager to help shape product strategy, drive delivery and ensure digital services meet both user and organisational needs.
This role will sit at the intersection of users, stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring priorities are aligned, value is delivered and products continue to evolve through evidence-based decision making.
What you’ll do:
- Own product roadmaps, backlogs and delivery priorities across digital products and services
- Lead discovery activities through stakeholder engagement, user research and data-driven prioritisation
- Work closely with Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, User Researchers, Designers and Engineers to define and deliver product capabilities
- Translate user needs, operational challenges and policy requirements into deliverable product features
- Drive product development from discovery through to live service and continuous improvement
- Engage senior stakeholders across business, operational and technical teams to align delivery with strategic objectives
- Monitor service performance and user feedback to inform product direction and prioritisation
Key requirements:
- Strong Product Management experience delivering digital products or services
- Experience owning product roadmaps, backlogs and prioritisation activities
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across large organisations
- Experience working within Agile multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Strong understanding of user-centred design and product development practices
- Experience working within government, public sector or other regulated environments
- Eligible to obtain SC Clearance
Desirable:
- Current or previous SC Clearance
- Central Government experience
- Experience working on citizen-facing or operational digital services
- Knowledge of GDS standards and service assessments
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes
