Senior Product Manager – Defence Client
Active SC Clearance required
6 Month contract with likely extension
Location: London
Remote first with 1 Day onsite every two weeks
Start date: Monday 7th September
£600-£650 per day, Outside IR35
Our client is a technology-led consultancy delivering complex digital transformation programmes across the UK Defence and National Security sector.
They are supporting the delivery of a number of critical digital products and platforms used across Defence environments, ranging from operational systems and workflow tools through to data-driven platforms that support decision-making and service delivery.
As part of continued programme growth, they require a Product Manager to help define, shape and deliver digital products from discovery through to live deployment.
This role will sit at the intersection of users, stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring operational requirements are translated into scalable, user-focused products that deliver measurable value across Defence programmes.
What you’ll do:
- Own product strategy, roadmap and delivery priorities across digital products and platforms
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Delivery Managers, User Researchers, Engineers and Architects to define and deliver new capabilities
- Translate user needs and operational requirements into product features, backlogs and delivery plans
- Drive product development from discovery and prioritisation through to deployment and continuous improvement
- Engage with Defence stakeholders, technical teams and programme leadership to align delivery against strategic objectives
- Support the development and enhancement of mission-critical digital services and operational platforms
- Monitor product performance, user feedback and service metrics to continuously improve outcomes
Key requirements:
- Strong Product Management experience delivering complex digital, software or data-driven products
- Experience working within multidisciplinary Agile teams
- Proven ability to define product roadmaps and manage stakeholders across large programmes
- Experience taking products from discovery through to live deployment
- Strong understanding of Agile product delivery methodologies
- Experience operating within complex, regulated or security-conscious environments
- Active SC Clearance, used within the previous 12 months
Desirable:
- Experience within Defence, National Security or Central Government
- Experience delivering operational, workflow or business-critical platforms
- Knowledge of GDS principles and service standards
- Experience delivering products within large-scale transformation programmes
