Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dublin, Ireland (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Salary: €70,000 – €85,000 DOE
An established engineering and building services contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. The business delivers complex mechanical installation projects across a range of large-scale commercial and industrial sectors and has built a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects throughout Ireland.

The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of mechanical engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Review subcontract agreements and contract documentation, identifying commercial and contractual risks.
- Prepare tender risk assessments and analyse bills of quantities and contract documents.
- Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks throughout project delivery.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice on claims, variations and dispute resolution.
- Produce monthly commercial reports, forecasts and project cost reviews.
- Support estimating activities when required during tender stages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Measure, price and manage project variations.
- Prepare, review and track tender submissions and commercial returns.
- Ensure commercial performance is monitored and reported throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial role.
- Mechanical project experience is essential.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Studies or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as within a collaborative team.
- Full driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
