About Uplift360

iO Associates are proud to be partnered with Uplift360 – a deep-tech advanced materials company pioneering circular solutions for high-performance fibres. The mission is to secure European materials supply chains for defence, aerospace, and critical industrial applications through scalable, proprietary recycling technologies.

By developing novel low-energy chemical systems, Uplift360 transform end-of-life composite waste into regenerated fibres, creating sustainable alternatives to incineration or landfill. Their Renew technology focuses on regenerating continuous aramid fibres and related materials, currently moving from early-stage development toward pilot-scale deployment.

Role Summary

As Senior Technology Manager, you will lead the Renew technology programme end-to-end, driving its evolution from early development to demonstrator and scale-up. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape technical direction, build a high-performing team, and ensure that innovation translates into real-world products and manufacturing solutions.

You will work closely with the Co-Founders and Directors, acting as a senior technical interface with partners, customers, and stakeholders. This position requires a pragmatic leader who thrives in complexity, aligns priorities across disciplines, and can turn cutting-edge science into deployable technology.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the roadmap for Renew technology, ensuring alignment with Uplift360’s mission and market needs.
  • Translate scientific progress into clear priorities, milestones, and decisions to maintain momentum.
  • Keep development grounded in manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and target market requirements.

Team Development & Governance

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-disciplinary team across chemistry and engineering.
  • Establish robust technical governance, documentation, and IP management processes.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the technology team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with commercial, operations, and leadership teams to ensure platform-wide alignment.
  • Act as a senior technical interface with Partners, Investors, and other key Stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress transparently, flag risks early, and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven track record leading scientific or engineering teams in advanced materials or polymers.
  • Strong experience with aramids, cellulose-based materials, or related fibre systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take technology from early development to demonstrator stage.
  • Solid understanding of IP management and patenting processes.
  • Depth in chemistry and process engineering to manage across disciplines.
  • Pragmatic leadership style and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; willingness to be based in Luxembourg at least four days per week.

Desirable:

  • Experience in defence, aerospace, or regulated industrial environments.
  • Exposure to fibre production methods (air-gap, wet, melt, or gel-spinning).
  • Familiarity with scale-up, operations, or early manufacturing.
  • Experience with public funding, consortia, or strategic partnerships.

Why Join Uplift360?

  • Be part of a visionary company redefining sustainability in advanced materials.
  • Shape a critical technology programme and contribute to European supply chain resilience.
  • Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a passionate interdisciplinary team.
