Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer
A fast-growing NewSpace engineering team in the Paris region is hiring a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to take ownership of the dynamic behaviour of deployable structures and spacecraft subsystems from early concept through qualification and into production.
This is an on-site permanent role, working in a hands-on environment where engineers own subsystems end-to-end and support test campaigns directly.
The role
You’ll lead dynamics work across core subsystems, including:
- Attitude, deployment and multibody dynamics; modal behaviour; structural–dynamic coupling
- Design trades and analysis through concept → detailed design → test & correlation
- Hardware-facing testing: modal / deployment dynamics / vibration & shock, plus integration support
- Defining and executing verification & validation strategies for dynamic performance
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the dynamics discipline
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in spacecraft dynamics, attitude/deployment dynamics, or NVH/structural dynamics (aerospace or automotive)
- Evidence of delivering across multiple full development cycles (concept to flight/launch/production)
- Strong capability in multibody dynamics, modal analysis, vib/shock environments, and model-to-test correlation
- Familiarity with CAD (e.g. CATIA / NX) and dynamics/FEA tools (e.g. Adams, Simscape, NASTRAN) + confident with hand-calcs as sanity checks
- Proactive, autonomous, collaborative approach; comfortable owning significant technical scope
- Professional English (additional languages helpful)
What’s on offer
- Work that contributes directly to flight hardware and real missions
- High-ownership engineering culture, modern facilities, and strong learning runway
- Competitive compensation with an equity component (where applicable)
- Some flexibility (e.g., regular WFH rhythm) depending on project needs
