An innovative industrial technology start-up is scaling its special-purpose machinery used in sustainable packaging / circular-economy applications. They are hiring a Service & Commissioning Engineer to take ownership of hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support across Europe and the US.

The ideal role for a technically driven individual, who enjoys being close to the hardware and the controls layer. You will be given the platform to turn complex systems into reliable production equipment. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role with real autonomy.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Conducting software-based commissioning and acceptance testing of system installations at international client sites.
• Supporting initial production ramp-up and ensuring smooth transition into steady-state operations.
• Providing ongoing technical support and maintenance remotely and on-site to clients globally.
• Implementing system updates and adjustments to maintain peak performance and security.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical faults within Beckhoff and TwinCAT-controlled PLC and HMI systems.
• Contributing insights from field experiences to optimise and improve installed systems.
• Delivering user training and ensuring clients operate the systems safely and effectively.
• Collaborating with the R&D team to feed field insights into future tech innovations

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experienced Service & Commissioning Engineer
• Background in industrial automation or specialised machinery environments.
• Technical qualification or degree in electrical engineering, automation, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC and HMI systems.
• Strong communication skills in English and German.
• Flexibility for international travel to support customer projects.
