Service Designer

Service Designer – Public Sector / GDS – SC Cleared

I’m working with a public sector consultancy who are looking for an experienced Service Designer to shape end‑to‑end demand‑to‑delivery journeys and ensure services work coherently across policy, product and operations.

Contract: 23/03 – 15/05 (likely extension)
Day Rate: £500-£575 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Remote (with onboarding in London)
Clearance: Active SC clearance essential

The Role

You will:

• Design and refine end‑to‑end demand‑to‑delivery journeys, ensuring they are clear, usable and joined‑up.

• Clarify boundaries, handoffs and interactions between policy, product and operational teams.

• Ensure the overall service model is coherent, efficient and aligned with user and business needs.

• Work closely with product, delivery, policy and operations to embed service design best practice.

Essential Experience

• Proven Service Designer in UK public sector, with strong GDS experience (service standards, phases, design principles).

• Track record of mapping and improving complex, multi‑team services end‑to‑end.

• Comfortable facilitating workshops and working with senior stakeholders across disciplines.

• Active SC clearance (in‑date and transferable).
