Software Engineer — HealthTech & AI

6 month contract, Outside IR35

Dublin – 1 day a week onsite

€400 – €420 per day

We’re working with a HealthTech company who are looking for a capable, self-driven mid-to-senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve healthcare technology products

They are building software that supports clinical workflows and healthcare communications. Its existing products help healthcare organisations manage and streamline clinical referral and order-communication processes, with a particular focus on diagnostic workflows.

The company is also developing AI-driven products for clinical workflows, using technologies such as LLMs, AI APIs and workflow orchestration to automate or improve parts of clinical processes

You’ll work across established clinical communications products while also contributing to a growing portfolio of AI-driven solutions for clinical workflows. This is a hands-on, generalist role where you’ll take ownership of functionality end to end—from an initial idea or problem through to production and ongoing operation.

What we’re looking for

They care less about any particular language or framework and more about strong engineering judgement, ownership and the ability to learn quickly.

  • Strong cloud engineering experience, particularly with AWS.
  • Comfortable with core cloud concepts including compute, networking, storage, databases, queues, IAM and observability.
  • A genuine DevOps mindset: you build it, test it, ship it and own it.
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers and deployment automation.
  • Mid-to-senior level engineering experience, with the ability to get productive quickly and work with minimal hand-holding.
  • Hands-on experience working with LLMs and AI APIs.
  • Understanding of prompt design, evaluation and AI workflow orchestration.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Laravel / PHP.
  • Flutter / Dart experience.
  • Experience working in an early-stage or rapidly scaling technology team.
  • Previous experience building software for healthcare or other regulated environments.
