Software Engineer in Test / SDET - Contract Role

Senior SDET / Software Engineer in Test – Azure / C# / CI/CD

UK Remote | Contract – Outside IR35 | Initial 6 Months | ASAP

I’m looking for a Senior SDET / Software Engineer in Test to join a major transformation programme.

You’ll be working on a legacy Microsoft application that’s been migrated into Azure, helping improve automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who can produce code, understands cloud infrastructure and enjoys improving how software is tested and delivered.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and integrating automated integration and end-to-end tests into GitHub Actions.

• Automating Azure test environments, including infrastructure setup and teardown.

• Developing reliable test data creation and clean-up processes.

• Working with engineering and QA teams to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing.

• Driving improvements to CI/CD practices and release automation.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong coding experience, ideally C# / .NET.

• Hands-on test automation experience, particularly integration and E2E testing.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.

• A proactive engineer comfortable taking ownership in a legacy environment.

We’re open to both experienced SDETs and Software Engineers with strong automated testing and Azure/CI/CD experience.

We’re moving quickly, with 1st Stage interview slots for the end of this week.
