Due to continued growth, they are looking for Operator Leads to join the talented production team in Aachen. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machine operator or production professional who wants to step into a hands-on technical challenge with a team leadership focus.

The Role

As an Operator Lead, you will be responsible for leading production activities during your shift, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a team of operators on our fibre spinning lines.

You will be the go-to person on shift, combining your technical expertise, with problem-solving, and leadership capability to help drive production performance.


Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Operating and monitoring advanced fibre spinning machinery
  • Leading and coordinating operators during your shift
  • Ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and process-related issues
  • Carrying out and overseeing quality inspections
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
  • Managing shift handovers and communicating key production updates
  • Acting as the first point of contact on the shop floor during your shift


Candidate profile:

  • A technical qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Plant Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
  • Natural leadership qualities and the confidence to take ownership during shifts
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
  • German language skills for workplace communication (basic English is advantageous)
