Senior Software Engineer (.NET/C#) – Contract

Limerick | 4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote
6-Month Initial Contract | €65–€78/hour (DOE)

Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer looking to work on technology that genuinely makes a difference?

I’m partnering with a global organisation developing next-generation medical device software, and they’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Agile engineering team on an initial 6-month contract, with the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge healthcare technology used around the world.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll help design, build and integrate software across services and medical devices, working within a modern .NET environment and collaborating with internationally distributed teams.

What you’ll be working with:

  • C# / .NET
  • Blazor (Server & WebAssembly)
  • ASP.NET Core APIs
  • Redux.NET
  • SignalR & gRPC
  • Clean Architecture
  • Stateless workflows
  • xUnit, NUnit & Moq
  • Azure DevOps & Git

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and developing scalable, high-quality software using modern C#/.NET.
  • Building Blazor applications with a strong focus on performance and user experience.
  • Developing robust APIs and device integrations using technologies such as SignalR and gRPC.
  • Implementing Clean Architecture principles and driving engineering best practice.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners and Agile teams to deliver complex features from design through to deployment.
  • Writing automated tests and contributing to a high-quality, regulated software environment.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong commercial experience with C#/.NET.
  • Hands-on experience with Blazor and ASP.NET Core.
  • Experience designing scalable software using Clean Architecture.
  • A solid understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency and multi-threaded development.
  • Experience building modern APIs and distributed applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within Agile teams.

Experience within medical devices or another highly regulated industry (e.g. aerospace, automotive or financial services) would be highly beneficial, as would experience developing software that interfaces with hardware.

If you’re looking for a technically challenging contract where you’ll work on innovative software with real-world impact, I’d love to tell you more. Please reach out to a. methula@ioassociates.co.uk
