This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly scaling deep-tech company at a true inflection point!

They are still early enough that you will be working on zero-to-one innovation, helping build technology that does not exist yet, but with the backing and technical firepower to bring it to life.

They are fast redefining how chips communicate, through unlocking ultra-low-power and bandwidth interconnects that will power the next generation of AI, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance computing.

Here you will collaborate and rub minds with world-class experts across photonics, ASIC design, optics, and system engineering, in an environment where deep technical ownership is the norm and your work directly shapes product performance.

In this role:

As a Senior Systems Test & Characterization Engineer, you will sit at the center of the technology, owning system-level performance and working across disciplines to validate and push the limits of what’s possible.

This is the ideal role for a truly aspirational individual, who thrives in fast-moving, highly technical environments, and wants to take ownership of complex systems, as well as influence key technical decisions.

Day-to-Day:

  • Own the end-to-end characterization of advanced optical links and system performance
  • Build and evolve state-of-the-art optical testbeds from the ground up
  • Design and execute experiments to push performance boundaries and unlock insights
  • Analyze key metrics like BER, SNR, receiver sensitivity, power efficiency, and link budgets
  • Partner closely with ASIC, optics, and hardware teams to bring systems to life
  • Influence design decisions through deep technical insight and hands-on validation

Experience needed:

  • Strong background in optical transceivers (TIAs, drivers, photodetectors, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in optical system testing and measurement
  • Familiarity with datacenter optics (QSFP, OSFP, CPO/NPO)
  • Comfort working in a high-performance, cross-functional engineering environment

Please apply with your most updated resume if you are excited by solving hard problems, working with elite engineers, and building something transformative from the ground up!
