The Opportunity

We’re working with a fast-growing, award-winning Data & AI consultancy expanding across the UK and globally.

With a strong track record in delivering data transformation programmes, they help organisations unlock value through cloud, analytics, and AI.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Tech Lead to bring technical oversight, leadership, and structure across client delivery and internal platforms.

The Role

You will act as the technical authority, ensuring high-quality delivery across all projects while shaping architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery quality across data & AI projects
• Design cloud-first architectures and data platforms
• Lead and optimise Azure environments
• Mentor engineers and promote best practice
• Support hiring and team growth
• Influence technical strategy and tooling
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and delivered on time

About You

• Background as a Tech Lead, Data Architect, or Senior Data Engineer
• Strong cloud + data platform expertise
• Comfortable in a strategic, less hands-on role
• Thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

Technical Environment

Cloud (Essential)

• Strong Azure experience
• AWS exposure beneficial
• Focus on scalable, secure, cost-efficient design

Data Platforms

Databricks | Snowflake | Microsoft Fabric

Engineering & Tooling

• CI/CD: GitHub, Azure DevOps
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
• Programming: SQL, Python

Data Architecture

• Translating business needs into data models
• Dimensional modelling (e.g. Kimball)
