Technical Lead - Contract - Must have HE experience

I’m looking for an experienced Technical Lead to support a major Student Information System transformation within Higher Education.

This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role, taking ownership of the technical direction across the programme and working across student systems, architecture, integrations and data migration.

You’ll act as a key technical authority on the programme, working closely with internal teams, university stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure the solution is robust, scalable and successfully delivered.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the technical delivery of a Student Information System transformation
• Own the architecture, integrations and data migration
• Lead developers, analysts and testers across the programme
• Turn business requirements into clear technical solutions
• Work with and challenge third-party suppliers
• Act as the technical lead for senior university stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• Strong technical delivery experience within UK Higher Education
• Experience with Student Record Systems – SITS/eVision, Banner or similar
• Experience with major SIS implementations, upgrades or replacements
• Good understanding of the end-to-end student lifecycle
• Strong integration/API and data migration experience
• Strong SQL/database knowledge
• Experience leading technical teams and working with senior stakeholders
• Azure/AWS experience beneficial

Location: UK / Hybrid – some occasional client site visits
