Technical Program Lead – Advanced Imaging & Embedded Systems

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Program Lead to coordinate and drive multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through delivery.

This is not a traditional administrative project management role. The position requires someone comfortable operating in a highly technical environment, working closely with engineering teams, managing technical risks, and ensuring successful project execution across hardware and software development activities.

You will act as the key coordination point between engineering, management, and customers while ensuring projects remain aligned with technical, commercial, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of complex technology development projects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, software, embedded, and systems activities
• Manage project timelines, priorities, resources, and deliverables through to completion
• Identify and mitigate technical, operational, commercial, and scheduling risks
• Support engineering teams by facilitating collaboration and removing project blockers
• Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership and management teams
• Contribute to resource planning and cross-project coordination activities
• Support bid and presales activities through effort estimation and delivery planning
• Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and occasional international industry events
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes

Candidate Profile

Technical Background

• Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Previous experience delivering projects within electronics, embedded systems, imaging, aerospace, industrial technology, or similar high-tech environments
• Strong understanding of engineering development lifecycles
• Comfortable discussing technical topics directly with engineering teams and customers
• Experience with project planning and scheduling tools (MS Project or similar)
• Familiarity with cross-functional technical environments involving hardware and software integration

• Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams
