Role: Technical Project Manager (Healthcare Data)
Location: Fully Remote (UK-based candidates only; with occasional travel to client/partner sites)
Annual Salary: Up to £70k per annum (negotiable dependent on experience)
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who looks beyond standard task-tracking and genuinely enjoys navigating complex, data-driven environments.
On behalf of a leading UK healthcare data services provider, who has spent three decades helping major health organisations modernise and migrate critical clinical data, we are seeking a delivery professional with strong commercial acumen and real technical fluency.
Ultimately, your focus will be to drive technical delivery and constructively challenge timelines, whilst proactively managing scope and protecting project margins to ensure excellent client relationships
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage multiple concurrent, complex healthcare data projects (including data migration, archiving, and integration) from inception to completion within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface for the end clients, technical teams, and third-party suppliers, ensuring seamless alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercial & Risk Management: Proactively maintain RAID logs, manage project budgets and resource utilisation, and handle formal change control processes to protect project margins.
- Technical Oversight: Work closely with developers, analysts, and consultants to understand technical delivery approaches, triage complex data issues, and ensure rigorous testing before deployment.
- Governance: Maintain comprehensive project documentation in line with PRINCE2 or Agile frameworks, utilising NetSuite and internal tools for tracking.
What We Are Looking For
- Project delivery experience within the healthcare sector
- Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple complex technology, software, or data transformation projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems such as EPR, PAS, Oracle, or LIMS, or knowledge of the NHS Data Model.
- Strong technical fluency: the ability to genuinely understand technical concepts and constructively challenge delivery teams.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with experience managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Robust commercial awareness with a history of controlling scope creep and managing project budgets.
- Certification in PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or an equivalent project management methodology.
- Exposure to SQL or technical data management.
